Gloria W. Kohlmann Fine Art Collection: Women of Prayer
I was inspired to do a fine art drawing series of women who pray, by visiting a website with photos of women -of all ages- praying at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Since I had been there several years ago, I was deeply touched by the fervency of those who pray at the Wall everyday!
These fine art drawings are originally 14x18" done with graphite on Honeysuckle Canson pastel paper. The photos I purchased to use, by gracious permission for the art, were from
www.israelimages.com. I adapted the subjects as inspired by my own experience of praying at the Wall several years ago myself.
The prints are hand-re-touched on the original Canson brand paper and have the same pencil tones as the original.
